India and China are two of the world’s most ancient civilizations. For centuries they shared advanced ideas, inventions, religious and philosophical traditions. But their economies and societies are idle during the colonial period. In the post-colonial era mutual relations suffered a setback due to political and boundary disputes. In contemporary times they have reemerged as leading techno-economic nations.
Since this is the time of global recession for whole world, these Asian countries are lesser influenced as compared to European and American Countries, that’s why they are looking for business opportunities in Asian countries. Since Indian and China may be the best sources to move, these countries are moving towards India and China. Since India and China both are competitors in the business as well as in military forces, every Asian business deal result in a famous and huge bid between these two countries.
China has one of the most powerful military in the world. Also; the Chinese scares both the Indians and the Americans. Many Americans see both India and China stealing American jobs – China stealing manufacturing jobs (textile, shoes, furniture, hand tools, consumer electronics, Christmas ornaments, etc.); while India taking away IT jobs. China is supposed to take over the United States’ economy by coming one or two years.
Both of these Asian giants have their own strengths and weaknesses, their own unique cultural traditions and political histories. Since both are working on their weaknesses and strengths, a virtual rivalry or you can say competition has established between two countries.
But since the China is to ahead of India in Science and Technology and there is very serious problem of corruption in India, the journey of India to overtake the China Economy seems too long and difficult. And it is difficult to say whether India would be able to overtake USA and China or not.
